研制烷类特种气体分析专用的多维气相色谱仪，特制的热导检测器，具有手动－自动功能。设计了输气－配气装置和多维气相色谱流程。以微机控制，可按编辑程序清洗系统。检查本底，自动进样，显示或打印谱图和分析结果。可检测多种烷类特种气体组份及其中氧，氮，一氧化碳和甲烷等痕量杂质。     

Evanescent modes are not necessarily Einstein causal

Previously, experiments with microwave signals have shown that evanescent modes can travel faster than light. Several theoretical investigations have proven that in the case of signals with unlimitedly high frequency components, such superluminal velocities do not violate Einstein causality, thus group, signal, and energy velocities are c where c is the vacuum velocity of light. In this letter I shall show that frequency band limitation is a fundamental property of signals and that such signals containing only evanescent modes can violate Einstein causality. Selecting parameters and limits for equipment operational qualification

While operational qualification (OQ) is a well-established term within equipment qualification, users of equipment often become unsure when it comes to implementation. The biggest problem is how to select procedures and acceptance criteria. Should these be the vendor's specifications or should the users define their own limits, and, if so, how? Should all instruments of the same type have the same values or should these be optimized for each individual instrument? This article will provide an overall strategy and specific examples for HPLC on how to select procedures and acceptance limits that are based on efficient use of resources, on practicality and on the intended use of the equipment.     

Ether drift experiments and electromagnetic momentum

Propagation of Aharonov-Bohm matter waves and light waves in moving media is characterized by the interaction electromagnetic momentum. Thus, recent models of light propagation in moving rarefied media justify and call for an optical experiment of the Mascart-Jamin type, capable of testing the modern interpretations of ether drift experiments.     

Alpha decay energies and half-lives for possibly synthesized superheavy elements

We investigate the ground state properties of some superheavy nuclei, which may be synthesized in future experiments. Special emphases are placed on the alpha decay energies and half-lives. The alpha decay energies and half-lives from different theoretical models are compared and discussed comprehensively. Through these calculations and comparisons, the optimal superheavy elements to be synthesized in future experiments are proposed theoretically.     

On the nonvanishing of the central value of the Rankin-Selberg -functions

We characterize the nonvanishing of the central value of the Rankin-Selberg -functions in terms of periods of Fourier-Jacobi type. This characterization is based on the Langlands philosophy on functoriality and on applications of invariant theory to automorphic representations. The result is the symplectic analog of the Gross-Prasad conjecture.

     

Maps of manifolds into the plane which lift to standard embeddings in codimension two

Let be a smooth map of a closed n-dimensional manifold (n2) into the plane and let be an orthogonal projection. We say that f has the standard lifting property, if every embedding with is standard in a certain sense. In this paper we give some sufficient conditions for a generic smooth map f to have the standard lifting property when M is a closed surface or an n-dimensional homotopy sphere.     

The analytic solution for the power series expansion of Heun function

The Heun function generalizes all well-known special functions such as Spheroidal Wave, Lame, Mathieu, and hypergeometric ₂F₁${}_2{F}_1$, ₁F₁${}_1{F}_1$ and ₀F₁${}_0{F}_1$ functions. Heun functions are applicable to diverse areas such as theory of black holes, lattice systems in statistical mechanics, solution of the Schrödinger equation of quantum mechanics, and addition of three quantum spins.
